Air Quality Monitoring for International Marathon

Air pollution poses significant risks not only to the health and performance of professional athletes and amateur sports enthusiasts but also to the well-being of spectators. In response to this challenge, the organizers of the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon partnered with Sapiens to establish a comprehensive air quality monitoring network along the event route.

This innovative system provides real-time data on pollutant levels at key locations, including the Tsim Sha Tsui start line, the Western District Tunnel, and other points. Also, it is the first-ever comprehensive inline air quality broadcasting the Air Quality Health Index throughout a major event, empowering the participants to make informed decisions based on their activity levels and exposure.
